AboutAll.in is a free, no-signup resource for Indian salaried professionals and Gulf expats. We publish guides, calculators, and reference material on income tax, salary structure, retirement savings, Gulf labour law, AI tools, and Indian cinema. This document explains how we research, write, fact-check, date, and correct content.
1. Who writes our content
Every published guide carries a byline that links to the author's profile page. We publish only under the names of real members of our editorial team — we do not run ghost-written or anonymous pieces. See Arjun Mehta and Priya Nair for the current bylines on our finance/HR and AI/technology desks respectively.
2. How we source information
For tax, labour law, and regulatory guides we cite primary sources first:
India: Income Tax Act 1961, EPFO circulars, MCA notifications, Ministry of Labour gazette, RBI master directions, SEBI circulars, official press releases.
Qatar: Qatar Labour Law No. 14 of 2004 and amendments, Ministry of Labour (MADLSA) guidance, Wage Protection System rules.
UAE: Federal Decree Law No. 33 of 2021, MOHRE bulletins, DIFC/ADGM regulations.
Saudi Arabia: Saudi Labour Law, MHRSD (Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development) updates, Absher and Muqeem documentation.
Where industry data is used (interest rates, salary benchmarks, exchange rates), we link to the original published source. Secondary sources are clearly labelled.
3. Fact-checking process
Every piece goes through four steps before it reaches a reader:
Research: The writer compiles primary sources for the relevant rules.
Worked example: Where a calculation or formula is involved, the writer constructs a realistic Indian salary scenario and runs the rule against it. The numbers in the article are the actual outputs of that scenario.
Internal review: A second member of the editorial team verifies regulatory citations, slab figures, formula divisors, and dates. Discrepancies block publication.
Editorial sign-off: The piece is dated with both the original publication month and the most recent review month. The byline links to the author bio.
4. Updates and review cadence
Indian tax slabs, EPF interest rates, gratuity ceilings, and Gulf labour rules change annually or more frequently. Our cadence:
Budget cycle (early February): All India tax and salary guides reviewed within 30 days of the Union Budget.
EPFO interest declaration: EPF guide updated within 7 days of the rate notification.
Gulf labour law amendments: Country-specific guides updated within 14 days of an official amendment.
Quarterly: All evergreen guides reviewed every 3 months for accuracy and broken links.
The "Last updated" date on each article reflects the most recent material change, not just a typo fix.
5. Corrections policy
If we publish a factual error and a reader notifies us through contact@aboutall.in or our contact form, the relevant article is reviewed within 48 hours. If the error is confirmed:
The article is updated immediately with the correct figure or rule.
A correction note is added at the bottom of the article noting what was changed and on which date.
The "Last updated" date is bumped.
Where the error materially affected calculation outputs, prominent corrections are also placed at the top of the article for at least 30 days.
We do not delete or silently revise articles when we make a mistake. Reader trust matters more than appearing infallible.
6. Plagiarism and originality
Our guides are written from primary sources by named team members. We do not republish, syndicate, or scrape from other websites. Where we quote a press release, official notification, or a ruling, the source is cited inline with a hyperlink. Our calculators are built in-house in JavaScript and run entirely in the user's browser.
7. Advertising and editorial independence
AboutAll.in is funded by display advertising (currently Google AdSense) and may include affiliate links to financial products in the future. We commit to:
Editorial decisions are made by the editorial team, not the advertising team. There is no overlap between the two functions.
Advertisers do not get to review or approve content before publication.
Affiliate links, where present, are disclosed inline (typically with a "(affiliate)" label) and do not change our recommendation logic.
We do not accept paid product placements, sponsored articles disguised as editorial, or undisclosed link insertions.
Readers can request a tool, flag an error, suggest a topic, or just say hello at aboutall.in/contact. We read every message; legitimate corrections jump the queue.
9. What we do not do
We do not provide individualised tax, investment, legal, or labour-law advice. Our content is informational. For complex situations, consult a registered Chartered Accountant, lawyer, or financial advisor.
We do not collect, store, or transmit any user data entered into our calculators. All calculations run in the user's browser.
We do not publish health, medical, or pharmaceutical content.
We do not publish content that violates the Indian Information Technology Act, the Income Tax Act, or any applicable law.
